I foresee that if prices keep going up as they currently do that @AirCon might invest in a Cork property, sun always shines, food is good, it might get busier next year in Cork16c/unit here. Just saying. And that’s from Electric Ireland, the main source, not any of these go-between companies.

Still hundred days too many mind, but the views from your house make up for that, you just have to build a nice barn now 50 by 25 metre or so, with heating and functioning bar area and all is good, start the Cork Ducati Museum?
Funny you should say that, got some plans for a big new shed to replace the shed I built in 2018, no not that shed, the other shed, that shed was built in 1918 probably. The only difficulty is how I build the new shed whilst the current shed (not that one, the other one) is still standing as it houses all the bikes and tools etc and I need to incorporate the existing shed's footprintStill hundred days too many mind, but the views from your house make up for that, you just have to build a nice barn now 50 by 25 metre or so, with heating and functioning bar area and all is good, start the Cork Ducati Museum?![]()
Can you not just increase the footprint on all sides and build round the existing?Funny you should say that, got some plans for a big new shed to replace the shed I built in 2018, no not that shed, the other shed, that shed was built in 1918 probably. Now I'm just waiting for @WAYNE to comment, 'that's a lot of sheds'![]()
You must admit that is alot of shed's?Funny you should say that, got some plans for a big new shed to replace the shed I built in 2018, no not that shed, the other shed, that shed was built in 1918 probably. Removal of the old one is easy as it's made of woodAs above, build a massive new barn , take old one down when other one is wind and waterproof ( the difficult part I know) then take old one down, don’t forget you need space for an infinity pool too

Based on previous shed related postings I have to ask:-Funny you should say that, got some plans for a big new shed to replace the shed I built in 2018, no not that shed, the other shed, that shed was built in 1918 probably. Building around the existing ancient structure is exactly what I've done.... well 3/4 completed the perimeter.Funny you should say that, got some plans for a big new shed to replace the shed I built in 2018, no not that shed, the other shed, that shed was built in 1918 probably. bui'ld a bigger shed over the top of the existing one, then knock the old one down when the new one is watertight, and then finish inside?
This is probably what will end up happening, however, I built the existing bike shed with it's rear about 60cm away from a rock wall, just enough room for me to squeeze in with the OSB sheets and cladding and fix them to the studs, it doesn't leave a lot of room for the new (steel) uprights to be erected. As above, build a massive new barn , take old one down when other one is wind and waterproof ( the difficult part I know) then take old one down, don’t forget you need space for an infinity pool too

So will the new one, it breathes. Steel frame, as the span of the roof trusses is too much for wood, then probably SIP infills and timber clad on the outside, that's the rough plan anyway.Removal of the old one is easy as it's made of wood![]()
Wow... SIPS panels... a very posh shed... they are going on the walls, not the ceiling or floor? This is probably what will end up happening, however, I built the existing bike shed with it's rear about 60cm away from a rock wall, just enough room for me to squeeze in with the OSB sheets and cladding and fix them to the studs, it doesn't leave a lot of room for the new (steel) uprights to be erected.

Anyway, we digress, back to collapsing energy suppliers in the UK.
Hmmmm... gotta be safer then lithium..
