I foresee that if prices keep going up as they currently do that @AirCon might invest in a Cork property, sun always shines, food is good, it might get busier next year in Cork16c/unit here

And I took my wife there for 10 days on a coast tour (dash), followed by a Cork Wedding.
Sadly this means we won't be buying there.
I was based in Sandyford for a few years on and off ... great bunch of guys... always a good crack.

Still hundred days too many mind, but the views from your house make up for that, you just have to build a nice barn now 50 by 25 metre or so, with heating and functioning bar area and all is good, start the Cork Ducati Museum?

As above, build a massive new barn , take old one down when other one is wind and waterproof ( the difficult part I know) then take old one down, don’t forget you need space for an infinity pool too

I'm trying desperately to buy additional garages and land around our property to relocate the few bikes I have, but prices and availability is horrendous.
This is probably what will end up happening, however, I built the existing bike shed with it's rear about 60cm away from a rock wall, just enough room for me to squeeze in with the OSB sheets and cladding and fix them to the studs, it doesn't leave a lot of room for the new (steel) uprights to be erected.As above, build a massive new barn , take old one down when other one is wind and waterproof ( the difficult part I know
So will the new one, it breathes. Steel frame, as the span of the roof trusses is too much for wood, then probably SIP infills and timber clad on the outside, that's the rough plan anyway.Removal of the old one is easy as it's made of wood
