Aye the damn stones! Unfortunately the other car has to cross the path and if it's the mrs in command she tends to think she's Colin McRae on at the start of special stage 1

Colin, I have got some work to do to get my 900ss looking as dazzlingly clean as yours looks. Think I will wait until winter to get stuck in to it.

Well done.....the very hard work is coming together nicely.

Come next spring we should have between us two eye catchingly clean 900ss's

.......Stewart whens the classic runnout for next year?!!...:D

Cheers Doug,mines is a '95 hardly a classic :D, 851's a '92 though.

Was hoping to get a run out on it one morning this week but with the weather its not happened  (just been sitting on it though :o)

Man they are stunning!
I've got some 900ss titanium parts if your interested. i made them for my injection model but they'd be better off on yours as i don't get to ride mine much and it seems a waste!
though i have to say you have inspired me a bit to get the oily rag out and see if i can't spruce it up a bit!!

Col

Col,

Sorry to raise your hopes mate...
Cheers
Bruce

scary boo riding with out mirrors ,jings its loud, both exhaust and clutch .
Getting her taxed for Sunday the 1st,get some miles on her and let the problems manifest...not be as many as that other p o s that i own mind you and I aint talkin aboot my VFR

Good stuff Colin. :flash:

I'll offer you a hundred quid for that p o s that you seem to have taken a scunner too! :p

Well done Colin whats next on your agenda?

thats what the wife said(encouragingly which was a bit of a shock:D)
Would need to sell something before buying something else ;)
I've got the 851 to sort out/or just punt :lol2:

still fancy a Lav...oops did i say that out loud

How does it go ? well pretty damn good, running too rich(cant start and stop 3 or 4 times without running it down the road because the plugs foul up and it wont start atall) so the carbs need a wee fettle,I've only done about 40 miles i've been staying pretty local to home until i build some trust in her.

Was out again tonight and had a thought, whilst tipped into a bend,
"sh1t ! I put this together,do i trust my spanner work more or less than if someone else had put it together/or if it was my first ride on a new(2nd hand) bike ??????:lol2:
On my way home i said sod it an went for it....bloody hell, the stability of these bikes mid corner is something else and so agile ...luv it
If someone offered me my purchase price right now for that 851 of mine i'd bite their hand off then track down a peachy SS/SL :flash:(that was the plan when i sold my 916 antway, fud that i am)
Some stuff to sort out on Superspurt, carbs and a look at the clutch condition...it was months ago i put it on,pulling away in the very tall 1st gear has the clutch making allsorts of horrible sounds....plus the rattle is extreme,I dont mind a rattly clutch but this is too much,8 year daughter told me it ruined the sound of the bike, out the 4 I've had its the worst sounding b'cos of the clutch...kids eh !
