Project Superspurt

Mindful of the FCR's reputation for incontinence and having painted the frame long before thinking of welding brackets to it (wait til I take pics of the rear brake reservoir :rolleyes:) I had to figure out how / where to fit a fuel tap. A fuel tap that you can use without removing the seat unit; unlike the the OEM part.

First attempt was rubbish;

Second was really neat apart from the fact that the tap itself prevented fitting :eek:;

Just need to whip it off and paint it and that's another job done.

Happy New Year all.
My SL has started the New Year well - dumped fuel on the garage floor (strangely but thankfully not into the crankcase), so need an inline tap!
Could you confirm where yours came from? It looks like a Monster one, but the one I have has significantly smaller spigot bores than the rest of the (OEM) system, so I'm reluctant to use it.

Hi Jeff, responded to the note on my profile. Am afraid I don't have any details, it was an eBay purchase based on the 'looks about right' design principle.
