I prefer English values - although crushing the Scotch underfoot is optional in my view. So maybe my English values are too diluted to be be truly valuable. I'll accept that charge if it is made.

The particular British value I was referring to was rolling over and surrendering in the face of a foreign invasion and not only letting them win but making victory as comfortable as possible for the invaders. A metaphor for this newly imposed liberal "value" was ably demonstrated on a football pitch on Atlanta last night.
And this certainly applies to Scotchland. Go and look at the streets of Glasgow.
