Have you thought about putting the bikes in the Kitchen :unsure: Apparently it's cheaper to get the central heating to keep them warm? All the rage in Yorkshireland apparently

Not in my kitchen, and I have IR heaters in my triple garage and central heating in my single garage and Ducati Room 🙂 who would put a bike in a kitchen 🤷‍♂️

IR is by far the best for cheap instant heat for use in damp lean to’s 🙂👍
 
I have a butane space heater. Very effective with instant heat but it uses a shit load of gas and there's the small issue of total immolation if you do anything involving petrol while it's running. It was useful for drying a wet bike before I had a bike drier but I never use it now.

IR sounds good, especially if you've got solar panels on the roof, but if I was building a dedicated bike shed/garage I'd just insulate it properly and fit central heating with LPG bottles if I didn't have a static oil or gas tank already. It wouldn't use much fuel. You only need to crank the thermostat up when you're working in there, the rest of the time the temperature just needs to stay above dew-point to eliminate condensation and keep the bikes bone dry. You could pretty much just leave it on frost except when working in there.
