I spent loads of summers on lago maggiore.. my mate here in Ireland is from Milan and his folks had a holiday home up there just outside Arona . Beautiful part of the world 🥰 i hope you and your better half enjoy the trip 👌
It’s gorgeous, just arrived at Lago Como today , just stunning, don’t know where to look first lol, on the way down we drove past George and Amal’s place , they are apparently in residence but they didn’t invite us for a coffee, people with money eh🤷🏻‍♂️😎😇😆

Take the harley. One time i did a 7 week tour of a bit of europe on a ducati scrambler! It can be fun using a totally inappropriate bike for such endeavors. In my case it wasnt, but hey! Ya never know. .

I think the HD would do it as i knew my 900ss ie would do Italy and back, kind of getting the same vibe from it. After reading many stories of how reliable the evo motor is i might just do it obvously with new wheel bearings etc....!

The best thing i have ever done on a bike is the ride through France then over the Alps into Italy, fucking epic!!
I need to do it again despite my ever getting worse fucked up body keeps telling me not too, see what happens next year, i'm in the process of selling loads of crap i don't need on ebay to get some money behind me, as you say life is short, memento mori.(y)
