It looks a bit "you wanted a gs triple black but you then went all yorkshire cheapskate" :unsure:

On the plus side, because there is always one somewhere, erm, erm erm, ahh 🤗, at your age, bumping the bike from kitchen to garden for laps will be much easier with that long travel suspension and a more defined which end is the front.

So went to see check Padgett's out and bagged a new grey one with black wheels for £13.4 k (list price £17,795) DCT, Showa electronic suspension, heated grips, cruise control etc....

Just need to find a few extra's like centre stand, crash bars and luggage - waiting until Monday to get some prices off Padgett's parts manager 👀

The Red on the bike isn’t actually on the bike, it’s just a reflection from a red wall next to the bike 👀

My last 3 jobs were interviewed over teams, I made a point of smart dress from waist up and clean boxers from waist down 🤣

You can formally accept the job insisting on disabled parking space and wheelchair access - see if they have a sense of humour ♿🤔🤣

While it was up, I have installed a sprinkler system on a timer with a manual over ride.

I left the soil for a month to settle. Rollered it, raked it as flat as I could and finally laid the turf today, around 30m2

I need to sort the stones in the borders I moved and do some weeding around the edges and flags, but it's almost there now. Took about 4 hours today and quite therapeutic.

Genuine question, not bantz, what made you buy a DCT Africa Twin? Not that there's anything wrong with it, but if I'd had to guess what your pick would have been for a do-anything all-rounder bike I'd never have thought of an Africa Twin.

I was thinking about this yesterday. If my KTM dies before I do I don't think I'd want a tech-heavy 1200 cc+ super adventure to replace it. I'd rather go smaller and simpler and one bike that appeals is the new Guzzi V1000 Stelvio. Probably the closest competitor to the AT in the one litre adventure class.

I was thinking of a Guzzi TT85 or Stelvio, but them went on to a new 750 Transalp due to the new e-clutch (old injury in my left wrist from broken bones gives me jip with the clutch - especially in traffic and after an hours riding). The transalp has a 21" front wheel and tubed too which wasn't good, this led me to the DCT adventure sport with 19" front wheel and more road biased choice of rubber available.

I was concerned about all the tech and gadgets - more to go wrong, but it seems the Honda reliability on these is impeccable.

My ideal all round bike doesn't exist but this bike, with 17" wheels and 130 - 150 bhp would have been nice - I saw this as the nearest compromise and as the engine is very torquey I think it will be OK while being extremely comfy and kind to my wankey (not in a Wayne way) left wrist.
