What kit would you buy?

Kit is very subjective and a very personal thing I'd try on as much as possible Paul !! I've always hated the laminate clothing I find it a bit cumbersome and all my mates with the best of gear still convert to mesh for the best summer days as it's warm , I opt for an inner liner I don't mind taking it out so I can have lovely airflow in the summer but full waterproof in the winter I think you need to try on a much as possible really 🤷‍♂️

Rest assured, Paul will always try it on?

Rev’it is another manufacturer whose gear I haven’t really looked at yet, again as there’s no retailer around here 🙁. Still it’s what @Robarano ’s girlfriend, Noraly, wears on all her trips around the world 👍. I’ll check it out.

Yeah, I know, just trying to get some recommendations and suggestions to this age old thorny question. I’m gonna have to find a bike show and try on loads of stuff👍

Have a look at Motolegends they have some good shit!!
My brother lives just down the road and went in there to collect my helmet. While they were getting it he had a look around.
They tried to give him a catalogue. He said "what's the point, there is nothing in here I could afford"....... so be prepared for some eye watering prices.

I bought a lot of stuff from them when i got my compensation and have a Motolegends loyalty card so i get a wait for it, 5% discount, how fucking impressive is that!!

They actually are the same price or cheaper than other retailers for the same piece of kit. They have a John Lewis type of price guarantee, ‘if you see the same item anywhere else cheaper we’ll match it AND give you a 10% rebate’ . They even have a very impressive 12 months no quibble returns policy, if you decide you don’t like something they’ll take it back. The reason their stuff appears expensive is because they only retail the top end/top quality brands (obviously the ones with the biggest retailer mark up too) so you won’t find a £99 Hein Gericke jacket in there.

I like their store, it’s an experience - a good one, and they’re honest about the stuff they sell, even in as much to tell this item is shite but we have to stock it in order to stock this one.

I bought loads of gear from there.... really like all there stuff... well nearly all... there are a lot of toffee latte almond milk types with strokey beards, pony tails and cross trackers who go in there.

She's sponsored by Rev'it, probably beacuse they are also Dutch.

My friend has some of their stuff and swears buy it, expecially for being comfortable and light.

I didn’t realise you bought a Helite jacket, I thought it was the Turtle airbag you bought. In fact I didn’t even know they did jackets with integrated airbags 🤔 I’m off to check that out now, Thanks 👍
I have all the contacts at work, they were amazingly helpful and posted me 3 items to try and even asked me to test them all on the bike before deciding. All they asked was that I pay return postage on what I didn't keep. I'll forward you the email address of the lady I dealt with tomorrow.

I just changed my touring gear for Dainese D-Dry stuff. I can highly recommend it too. I am not into the traditional safari style touring kit as favoured by BMW riders and the like,

I stayed with the more sporty stuff. It still does the job though. Lightweight, comfortable and most of all waterproof. Black trousers same make,

That is a nice jacket 👍.
I have a Dainese D-Dry jacket and a pair of their trousers at present, I like their stuff (and Alpinestars) as at least they’re stylish. D-Dry is good, up to a point, but it’s not completely waterproof and, in my case, I’ve experienced ‘wetting out’ of the outer textile layer, which then eventually led to the inside becoming wet whether that was because the rain defeated the D-Dry liner or because the condensation from body heat couldn’t evaporate off due to the outer layer being saturated I know not. 🤷🏻‍♂️.

I think if it’s a waterproof jacket & trousers it’s gonna be a laminate.

I love Dainese stuff i did have a Dainese gortex jacket that i wore when on the looker, i flogged it last year, i have a Dainese jacket, gortex gloves and boots and a pair of gortex trousers with removable thermal liner, seeing the fact my X(ssssshhhh Don't tell Exi) spent most of my money i will probably keep the spending down in the future coming from the man that bought a pair of Dainese trainers a few months back(£140) my other ones were fucked and they are so comfie, i choose Dainese over most stuff unlike @The skitz and his Crocs fetish!!

Some people just have taste @WAYNE 😝 but seriously I love the look of the dainese gear but I aint got an Italian physique 🤷‍♂️ I'm the rite height but too broad across the back and shoulders so I always try it on and always disappointed it's too restrictive 😥

There stuff fits me bang on like i've worn it for years but your right, i know the fit can be a problem for some people especially the women's gear as they seem to think every woman has the perfect body size, fucking Italians and there bloody beautiful styling!! (y)

Hmmm 🤔 never heard if this brand before but in doing some research earlier it appears it’s highly regarded and with 50% off on some lines at present it appears very good value
