What can you recommend watching?

here it used to be down here you never saw the chavs in town till jeremy kyle had finished
I did a contract for West Yorkshire Police a few years ago (civilian employee, not "prisoner") and it's amazing how crime levels drop as Christmas nears - the criminals apparently don't want to risk spending Xmas in a cell :)

Two films that are old enough to be easily available. Both are definately adult only

The first is a film that may appear to be slow in places but it's impact means you will never forget it, The boy in the stripped pajama's

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas - Plugged In

The second, again adult only, covers a hardly mentioned subject of Native American women who dissapear or are murdered

Very good book Boy in Striped Pajamas. I got it for my kids when they were early teens. Then the film came out and I think is now shown in schools.

Just started watching Picard on Amazon Prime. 👀

Only 10 mins in, so nowt to report yet.

Tenet - was ok but far from the epic that the hype would have you believe. Easily forgotten though.
Could just as easily have been one of Netflix own productions.

Here are a couple I have watched recently on Netflix.

My Octopus Teacher
Very nicely photographed and presented nature documentary.

Challenger: The Final Flight
Very interesting, to me, documentary about the events leading up to and after the fateful Challenger Space Shuttle disaster in 1986.

The Queens Gambit
Just binge watched this one with the enemy. Seven episodes, set in the 60’s. Very good production IMO. Good story line, very nicely photographed, costume design excellent, and the sixties detail very good.

A couple of films I watched on Netflix during the week that I enjoyed.

Arkansas and White Boy Rick which is based on a true story.

Something well worth a watch on Netflix The Witcher, the second series is due some time next year.
