Kurt Russell has done some great off beat classics.It's a classic, a bit dated but who cares, it's always one to watch.

I think Kurt Russell is the lead in Death Proof.
They're great fun. Not to be taken at all seriously.

I watched last night for the first time, "The Banshee's of Inisherin" and I must admit, I didn't see what the positive critics saw in it.

I’m watching it. Great film and Frances Dormand is excellent in it as is Woody Harrelson.

I watched The Banshee's of Inisherin last night and was looking forward to it but came away a bit disapointed. I think it's one of those films that need watching a few times.
The critics loved the acting, the screenplay and the production, with good reason. It's a well made and acted film that is good to look at, atmospheric and beautifully shot. But the story was paper thin to the point of being daft with the character's motivations and stories insufficiently explored.
It's billed as a black tragi-comedy. I think it was trying to be a study of male friendship and the suffocation of isolation but that didn't really come across. The tragedy bit seemed so avoidable it made the characters exasperating like they needed their heads banging together, and the comedy wasn't there at all. Still, I'd watch it again though to maybe get a better handle on it.
Once I finished watching it last night I agree that Sam Rockwell was a great character in the film. There weren't really any bad performances in the whole film to be honest although Woody's wife was probably not the best.Very good film, good cast, Frances got an oscar, Sam Rockwell should have got supporting actor

Recording it. Just watched Sicario 2 and enjoyed it but it’s not as good as the first one.The Guard on Film4 at 11.20pm!!
I think they should of left the first one as a stand alone movie but as ever there is no talent out there to write something new in movies!! It's just remakes and trilogys and the like, just bollox and nothing i would go to a cinema to see.

Watched Interlopers last night, a (very) small film from 2024.
Ask me why I am watching Zombie movies still, after the genre is all played out ... and I won't be able to answer *shrug*
This one was quite different and actually refreshing. It was never going to win an Oscar or a BAFTA (even if those awards were still linked to film quality rather than political content) but if a film has a hook, I'll enjoy it regardless of production quality. (My favourite film is The Silent Flute [aka Circle of Iron] and that has terrible production, acting, fight scenes and dialogue but I don't care
