Biscuit & Potato's new bike that is, seriously, we were at Devil's for a couple of hours and at every moment there was at least one person looking at it - nothing else at the bridge got a look in !

I am gutted, it was so nice to see it again, it makes such a sweet noise, looks amazing and pulls a crowd - Steve you are a lucky man !

Good to see you and have the craic with the other Ducati owners we met today, I think it was Gary ? Either way your Multi is gorgeous and hopefully see you next weekend at Hartside !

B&P's 749 and my Multi.

hehehe, i couldn't believe it when i fired it up, i blipped it acouple of times then put me lid on, as i put me gloves on i turned round and there must have been 15 people gathered round looking, i was thinkin, please dont stall, please dont stall!

Seriuolsy tho, its great, i love it. Good to meet up again. that Multi is a beaut (garry's that is). i hope youve oiled your chain ready for next w/e!

the ability to change direction is unbelievable compared to the 996, even at my level of riding and the brakes are so much more reponsive. it doesn't have the instant power of the 996 and you have to be a bit more conscious of your gear selection thru corners. Having discovered the fast idle lever and set it appropriatly it has made the throttle more responsive.

the handling is down to the geometry settings that Ian had done for track use, it turns in really well, doesn't appreciate cats eyes very much but as Ian pointed out, you don't come across many of them on tracks!

I love the white wheels as well, credit goes to Ian for those too. i think im gonna get thru gallons of Gunk keeping them that way :)

i thought about it! might pinch a few bottles of tippex from the stationary cupboard at work...

It must have been a bit weird for Ian to see 'both his' bikes together like that! We seem to forget that Ducatis are a bit uncommon or rare on our roads as the factory produce per annum less than some Jap manufactures make of just one one model. I like it that way! Let them look I say :)

Lots of Ducatis at Devil's today Steve, Steve's 749 was the one everybody was looking at though - Steve and I were laughing as every time we looked over there was people gathered around it, it was funny really as I never really noticed that much when I had it !

Some really trick stuff about though, an R1 car and a Fireblade car, kinda Lotus 7 shape also a couple of lads came hooooooning in on Monkey bikes !

It was weird to see someone else on it, my god it sounds good, obviously I have never heard it pulling away as I was always riding it - it is the best sounding 749 / 999 I have heard, really it sounds that good !

hmm, chatting to Garry at Devils today, he mentioned that included in the WDW week ticket is three sessions on the circuit :).

will def have a go at some point, really fancy one of the Knockhill nights

As I have said aswell Steve, you gotta consider the DSC 2 dayer at Cadwell, fantastic value for money also I will pick you up on the way down in the van if you fancy it !

Ah bugger was contemplating heading up to the bridge today but went over to Sherburn istead at Squires as teh forecast was better that way .. (ohh fair weather riders ;) )

Still recovering from a great day out at Mallory Yesterday me and two mates on our first track day of the year was quality.

My tyres did attract some attention of the Squires crowd today tho, think they hadn't seen melted tyres this year yet :)

weather stayed dry, looked a bit ominous later but no rain, or coppas :)

actually im lying, i overtook both the imprezas on the way home, marked and unmarked ones but they were stuck in the traffic :p

Steve, how about making her look like this again? Still think this looks fantastic

At MISANO you get about 20mins per session and the track is an anti-clockwise i.e. a left circuit. For the MotoGP they are making it a clockwise track so learning it on the pc won't work! I dont know if it is permanant. I found it really difficult because I don't do left turns as easily as right! found THIS too

Looks good Steve, what's with the clutch cover though? Is it an open carbon jobbie? If so it's on wrong dunno how to explain it the carbon piece should be covering where you foot sits not high like it is looks like it needs spining anti clockwise by one bolt if you get me.

Jon, its the remains of the one that broke, that was the only bit savagable, i just cut off all the broken stuff. i put it on just to minimise any rain getting to the plates and also to off a bit of protection for my toes as i cock me leg over it. its only temprorary till i can fund a Billet one

Ah ha... that explains it then Steve, looks good considering it was broke though fair do's, just don't get your toes caught fella

A quick look revealed THIS I know you don't like carbon that much!

Not quite true I love carbon but the covers for the road bikes can't stand up to a fall, if you can get the C shaped corse version with Kevlar also you're sorted, or if you want uber bling get the STM wire titanium jobbie (Chilli had one on his 998RS) which exposes all of the pressure plate but I'd still think it would offer little or no protection

I have a speedymoto cover on the 999, they are machined from a billet and have a thickness of 4/5mm spars, cost approx £120 but they do protect the posts from damage
