on a more positive note, everything i laid a spanner on came apart without any fuss...I probably shouldnt have said that out loud as it'll be the kiss of death..:D

and someone has appeared to have modified the cushdrive hub to stop it from loosening off (as they do apparently).. Well i assume thats what the 'pegs are next to the screws as i dont think its standard..

Nice looking bike, love the colours

For your wheel colour choice i would say black with a red rim stripe (same red as you have on the main stripe) :)

Going back to your cush drive, the main problem you will encounter is the sprocket shearing the bolts that secure it to the carrier.

You need to check that the holes in the sprocket and carrier aren't elongated as any movement at all will will lead to the bolts shearing and losing all drive (the sprocket will just turn on the carrier!)

It is a known weakness - the design is the same as the bevel singles and the bolts struggle to cope with the extra grunt.

You can get the carrier sleeved or use bigger bolts (m6 to m8).

It isn't unknown for the cush drive carrier to loosen from the rest of the wheel but rarer than this!

If I was you I'd get your wheels done in gold.

Cheers

dd/kenny... looks like someone has had a look at the sprocket carrier... new looking bolts with lock nuts and a still pliable cushdrive rubber, so as it all feels nice and tight i'll resist the temptation to pull it apart for a look..
wheels went off to be painted today... sorry to dissapoint the Gold supporters :lol2: but i've gone for black with polished edges. have also whipped the shock springs off so they can be powdercoated black instead of the horrible blue..

I refrained from commenting on your wheels (it's your bike) but I would have gone with black or silver but Black and polished is a nice touch!

Gold is fine on the black/gold Darmah's but think it would have clashed with the red.

As regards the shocks....let's be honest any colour apart from blue is an improvement!! :lol2:
