Up North Badges

I know were not officialy a club but would it be an idea to have an up north iron on badge. Some people don't like messin up there leathers but i thought it might be worth considerin and if there are any, whose got em an i want one.
If it's no bin done could we have a few suggestions as i live 10 mins from Scotcrest.
I know the initial design will cost 60 quid to register and i recon on 2 - 3 quid a badge dependin on the order.
Anybody interested?
 
how about a shield with a st georges cross, with a lion rampant superimposed over it with a scroll underneath saying ducati up north with the first letter of each word upper case the rest lower case.
 
mmmmm.......simple logo of the words with a Corse badge might be fairly attractive and neutral.....:D

by the way just built a superb wheel - less than three thou out laterally (total) and within ten thou radially - a bit of a hop but not that the rider would have any trouble with. I'll award myself a beer now - a satisfied customer has just launched me a pack of four Hoegaarden......the ride tonight should be fun then :D

Sounds fine but I think we need to make the Scotland/North of England connection.

That is good. I've built a few motorbike wheels as well as the odd push bike wheel in my time and I was quite happy to get within 40 thou in any direction. Give yourself a pat on the back for that. :)

er, there is a very simple upnorth logo, its the ickle ducati roundel with an arrow pointing up for "north", its used to link to the home page in the navigation at top of page. I quite liked the simplicity of that logo as it gets the message across and isn't something you either love or hate which is always a problem when logos get too complicated.

the words Ducati UpNorth use a specific font universal bold 85 oblique for the Ducati word, universal 55 oblique AIR for upnorth and are stretched horizontally at 125% i think John did the artwork in illustrator format so if anyone wants it to play around gimme a shout.
 
Derek, how about a haggis and a flat cap then? A haggis wearing a flat cap? A sheep somewhere for the Cumbrians and a can of lager for the nor'eastern contingent? :D Sorry it's too late and those beers have kicked in - did a fast three hour pedal tonight and they've gone straight to my head.....
 
What colour Rose? It'll have to be Red I reckon.

thats the best suggestion so far tho it would have to be a can of dog for the geordies
 
there's only one rose and it's white! Mikey has the best idea, clean and simple, although "ducati-upnorth" in words would be good.
 
the "official" logo is the logo with the words to the right but you could make the roundel bigger with words under it
 
How about a shield with a pint of Tetley's in one corner, a Haggis in another, a picture of Billy Connelly in another and a picture of Roy "Chubby" Brown in the last. To finish it off, instead of crossed swords we could have crossed cod in crispy batter ! Oh no, don't set me off. Fish & Chips.......Brid.......yum. :thumbs:
 
yep, clean and simple would be best, Mikey, your not going to like this but how about incorporating the name of the wearer along the top in the same typeface?!!!!!!!!

Red red rose - why do you think most ducatis are red - they recognised the significance of the best county in UK and used it for the bikes.
Only all white ducati I saw was in a shop and it was an Elefant - so Ducati only by family relation.

well you did have to go and change your name it would ave been just fine and dandy otherwise!
Got home yesterday ok, will post later on the proper thread, got the Sony Ericsson 810i tuesday morning, still finding it's hidden talents!

something like the one one the right is what I had in mind! I am useless at doing all the graphics thing and i realise that when it is in proportion and the right shape it would look even better!
