I am wondering if any of the sports classic owners have made the jump to tubless spoked wheels by alpina??, Did you find them worth the wonga as they are excpensive but a lovely bit o kit.
I looked at a set a while ago, the stock wheels are heavy and I'm pretty certain affect the suspension, you can feel the extra effort needed as you flick side to side in bends. Decided against it as I dont ride the Smart enough to justify the cost
