Right, just throwing in another RideOut here.

I've arranged to go MTBing on Monday so have found time to have a blast on Sunday. Usual start place but as it's an extra ride to the calendar I'll let you all have a lie-in - we won't leave there until 0930. Venue - Spurn Point, East Yorkshire.

If you haven't been there before, it's an absolutely gorgeous bird and wildlife sanctuary with superb views across the Humber from the lifeboat station and the remains of the old fort/gun emplacements. Then a run up the East Coast to Bridlington and return inland via the Wolds, Sledmere etc to York.

Steve748 will not need reminding of this one............

Should be ok. Sperm point a new one to me. Will text on Saturday to verify. Should make it 9.00am though now the weather has improved or earlier to get the roads to ourselves for a while.

Earlier to miss the traffic means 0600 for me mate - fancy that? Then we could try the RideOut 500 again...............

Appreciate your objectives Freak, but it's a bit of a trot over to your side from here then on to North Wales. Ours is a bit of a quick blast to the sea, lunch then home. Big ride the following Sunday, fancy that? Hope you get a great turnout, let us all know how you get on.

As for BSB I never really like all the hassle of traffic, plod, queues, crap food, nutters on Gixxers, poor views, scallies, air horns and airheads at such venues. Sooner watch it on the box to be fair.

Mmmmmmmm! A bit early this time of year, problem is you won't get anyone else at that time. 8.00 ish???
 
can't make this one pete,i'm away at some sort of bike rally at the isle of wight :confused:

So do I - it's not been ordered yet......but I have a new headlight on the way.......then need new tyre.......then......and.......
 
Another ride out I won't be able to make! Will just have to make do with riding round the TT Circuit Fri/Sat/Sun instead :thumbs:
 
Well six of us made it out and had a decent run to the east coast. Despite losing one person once and another one twice it was fairly uneventful and quite enjoyable.

Steve - the sandtraps were even bigger today mate, after this winter - Tiger Woods would have been lost in them for a week!

Got back home just before the rain struck too. See you all next week, ooop north.
 
You wouldn't have lost me had I not had a weak bladder & no fuel :eek: !!!

Seriously though, great day out Pete thanks. Good bunch of people despite not having Ducs:thumbs:
 
yes three of them were new to me but as you say a good bunch. what's the mpg on yours then - it can't be worse than mine.....

and I have a cunning plan (for next time) as Baldric would say.
 
I'm so fabulously rich I never work it out! I fill up with usually 18 litres or so & then fill up again every 150 miles or so just in case. I also know on my recent trip to Spain my mate was filling up with 15/16 litres when mine stayed at 12/13. Same speed, same miles! :D
