Do you need directions or will you follow the smell of fear?:)
He was in his garden in strange garb and mumbling all night............claimed he was seeing in the summer solstice.......looked more like "Edwina" with a drink problem.:)

Was out this afternoon and got a very wet bit:o :o .

'supposed to get worse tomorrow. Good luck guys, n' Tania!

200 miles done in blue skies and some of the best scenery in Britain!
Not a drop of rain all day.
Sat on harbour wall in Ullapool in SDC t-shirt eating our fish and chips watching boats coming and going.
Excellent company and a lot of leg-pulling.....mainly at Eddies expense! He knows we don't mean it.......mostly.:D
Had a great time and hope you guys have a safe journey down the road tomorrow.......just don't take the sunshine with you.;)

Well. :D A great weekend's biking capped off by seeing Casey thrash the opposition and get back to winning ways (you must know already otherwise you'd have been with us in the Black Isle for the only other biking event worth doing this weekend...:p )

Firstly, big thanks to Ed and Rosemary for their hospitality over the weekend. To Stewart too for helping plan out the excellent itinerary with Ed.

Torvaig Ducatisti Centre is a great location, though a little windy at times (and not just the horse farting either - was his name Hurricane or something ?) but we woke on Saturday morning to glorious sunshine and views northwards over the firth. The Blasting Roads were beckoning.

A quick pit-stop at Stewart's let us have a gander at the Ecurie Moore line-up - the 239 single convalescing after it's Italian trip to the Motogiro Race, the immaculate GT750 and the loudest Lavvy (Montjuich) on the planet. What a sound !. However, warm tarmac can't be kept waiting and so off we headed towards Laxford Bridge and on to Ullapool. Even the price of petrol couldn't dampen the grin factor 10 experience. Even if you've been to the Highlands before it's still an amazing region to go biking through. The road surface were smooth, the sheep stayed mostly off the road and before we knew it the (mostly) blue sky was joined by blue sea as we got to the west coast. Traffic was negligable too.

Lunch was in Ullapool where we found the fish and chips shop shut for lunch (   ) but finally got our fish suppers at 2.30 and scoffed them at the harbour. Ed even met someone who knew someone who knew someone who knew someone who knew someone who knew him. What a small world, eh ?

Home leg was a screaming dose of desmodromic delirium back via Garve and Strathpoofter to Dingwall, where we each had a 999 ice cream cone, thinking time was against us getting one at Ed's Ices in Nairn  . Absolutely stunning roads gave us all a good dose of the bends which, of course, are best treated by lashings of beer and talking absolute crap about bikes all night, which we did. Fantastic !.

We should make this an annual feature in the SDC calendar - maybe even run the Masher from there next year ? - as this part of Scotland is just too good to ignore. The hospitality is excellent and if you're lucky you'll even get to experience Ed's Trampolining Cat Circus performing right on top of your very own tent at three in the morning......:lol2:

Thanks again to Ed and Stewart for organising a great weekend
