Wind is turning colder here this afternoon and swinging round to the North. Dry(ish) and sunny but forecast is snow on higher ground Sunday and possibly tomorrow.
We will be ok here but it is the bit in the middle that will cause you grief possibly.
Table provisionally booked for Sunday lunch but can/will adjust for numbers depending how wimpish you southerners are.:p :)
 
Weather forecast has been updated, and it's looking much better for tomorrow :thumbs:

Can everyone who's planning to go PM me their mobile number so we can get in touch should it be necessary to change the plans at the last minute.

I hope so because the Grampians start about 10 miles from me and I've just seen the hills from the window for the first time this morning and there's fresh snow.

Sorry guys, can't make this now. My son was involved in a hit and run last night in Stirling as he was crossing the zebra to get a bus back. Fcin @@@@ ran a red light, cliped him and ran off. He's ok, legs balloned up and stiff, had him to casualty but i want to keep an eye on him, fatherly bit comin out in me. Hope the weathers ok for you and if no more accidents happen i'll be there later this month. :mad:

That's not good news. A similar thing happened to my daughter in Glasgow 6 weeks ago and she broke her ankle. The guy drove off but their were several witnesses who got his reg number. He was subsequently charged with several things. Daughter is still in pain and it looks like she may need an operation on her foot.

I dropped my bike off this morning at Ducati Glasgow for repairs after my spill earlier in the week so I won't make the run either.

I was really looking forward to this too. :( I'd even looked out my 30 year old electrically heated gloves and wired them up to plug into the ST4s power outlet to keep my hands cosy.
Here's what it looked like outside at 8.30 this morning - and it got worse!
 
Not a good day to be out in the car, let alone the bike! :rain:

I've tried to quash my disappointment by having a big fry up. Hasn't worked (yet) :)
 
Cammy was up in Stonehaven yest on a run with the CMA, think he might need a little help from a higher authority tae get back tae Alva the day :eek:
If my memory serves me well,whats left of it, didn't we get this for one day last year as well. Seem to remember a little spill on a patch of ice and a large bill after :o :mad:
 
Sod's law but we have had an hour or so of glorious sunshine and all the snow has gone!
May be the odd flurry but it is not going to last.
Biggest problem is that gritters have been out on the major roads for last 24 hours so even more salt to deal with.:(

saw the first griter in edinburgh about 1pm. new it wouldnt snow here again after that :D
 
oh and davie, ive never thought about what it would be like if i had a bit more oxygen at birth, but ive met you and know what it would be like if id had less:D :D
