not surprised by the reaction by some to my for sale post. there are hundreds of genuine ducatisti in scotland who never join a club or forum simply because of the childish few. as predicted dun is becoming just like the club it broke away from. a good skelp on the arse would do them good but they might enjoy it,a good clap on the lug would be better.
 
Having never been in any other biking club before this one, as a relatively newcomer to Ducati, i cannot make any constructive reply regarding why someone would not want to be part of a club or why DuN was formed, but I do understand where you are coming from given what you have said. I do think it is unfortunate that the comments made came from your thread, given the fact that you have been a DuN member for a wee while now but it could have originated from anyones post, and I hope it doesnt put you of posting again.
Not sure if am gonna explain this very well but...
I have noticed a huge increase recently in new posters doings so only to sell stuff, whether their intentions are altruistic or not, but the crazy thing for me is that there seems to have been more in the last 3 months than I can remember in the last 3 years. When you post on hear quite a lot you kindoff get a bit used to and protective (or more over-familiar) with the DuN way of doing things, and one of those is maybe having a bit of banter in the virtual bar first, but yeah I suppose you are right that probably comes across that it seems as negative if anyone points out you havnt followed the etiquette.
And don't get me wrong, some of us need a good clip on the ear sometimes (myself included) to keep us in line.
Am I making sense?? Am struggling to put my thoughts into words.
or just sounding like an @rse???? please feel to add a few extra votes here if so...

statements like that and you will be damned to hell.....this forum is even better now than it ever was.....they only talk about ducati's now, no personal banter or anything.......what could possibly be wrong with that........there it just had to be said.

Quick question - if there are hundreds of Ducatisti who never join a forum, why do they think it's ok to use the same forums they don't participate in to sell their stuff?

Personally, I think it's a bit rich for someone who has zero previous participation in a community to arrive and immediately start slagging off other members because they have the temerity to discuss how they want to run their community.

Your for sale thread has been deleted and you are the lucky first recipient of a temporary ban.
