My Dad sadly passed away last November and a few weeks ago I had a letter from his employer, just a questionaire thing and I held out no hope of seeing anything as he had remarried and not changed his will, I assumed that all would go to his Widow.


Well, all I can say is that I am one happy boy, its a good job i didn't know this morning what I know now while I was down at Ducati Leeds !

Beers are on me :cool:
 
I know, I have just cracked a beer to the old boy and said thanks, your damn right I am smiling, I am actually a bit shocked, now what do I REALLY need ?

its sad about your dad but nice you got a wee lift out of it im sure he`ll be quite pleased knowing you were getting it.



now dont listen to davie the last thing you need is a girlfriend theyre more expensive and more annoying than bikes ;) ;) ;) oh and especially stay away from italian women theyre even more mental than the ordinary ones;) ;) ;)

What you need is a Satsuma XR4! from the Kyoto Lawnmower and dangerous toy company, You'll have to beat them off with a 5h!tty stick.

If anyone remembers the ad in Viz years ago, the spec on the car was hiliarious.:D

Aw sweetie, you pulled me before I'd even seen you! Sigh.... Shame about that facial hair. Remember, Dads know and see EVERYTHING! Even more so when they're not with us, I reckon
 
Ian - The same thing happened to me some years ago and I knew my old man would of approved, so that's when I bought my first Duc (Red 916 I'd been lusting after)

No regrets since then! Go for it (or them!):thumbs:

Good news Ian, nice to have something from your dad. Have fun treating yourself to what you want.

ps. I know what you mean about slipper clutches, I let my mate ride my 996r for a while on Saturday and I followed him. It was scary! Not nice to see the rear wheel of your pride and joy slewing from side to side into a downhill bend while you watch helpless from a safe distance behind. To add insult to injury on the following straight he ran the bike to the limiter with me again not far behind. I thought someone was shooting a gun at me as it banged against the redline.

I took the bike of him shortly after citing his lack of mechanical sympathy as him not being fit to ride it.

Now that was a classic, I had one for a while... not that I needed it :D

Ian, it's your cash do with it as you see fit I guess, but spend it on something that would make your Dad smile...
