I'm English. Lived in Scotland for the last 2 years. Born in Newcastle, lived all over the UK and in the US and Germany. Perhaps you have some other prejudice you can use instead?
We DO know that you jocks

How do you think Gordon got the job?
Does it matter whether the Termis are legal or not or if he was doing 30 or 31mph. The point is the policeman's attitude and behaviour would appear to have been aggressive and discriminatory and this is not acceptable no matter what we choose to ride/drive.
Fergie appears to shrug this off and claim he had a better day than the policeman, and perhaps he did but I'm sure he would have had a far better day had he not had this experience at all.
At one time most people had a respect for the police, but nowadays with this sort of attitude being prevalent the police are doing themselves no favours and are becoming more and more alienated from the general public in all fields, not just road traffic. Where in the past we might have got a warning and told to "get it sorted" for a minor infringement like a registration plate of the wrong size or a blown bulb, now we can expect a fixed penalty and a mouthful of abuse.
I for one no longer have any respect for the police whatsoever and I know I'm not alone.

I got done for 86mph on the M6, fair enough I was doing 86mph !!
Couldn't agree more with this statement, especially the last line. I honestly believe if I was driving home and saw a beat cop being attacked I would stop and help - if it was a traffic cop, I'd look the other way... shocking ??? NO, I spent two and a half YEARS in an out of court becuase traffic cops LIED on the stand as to the location of a speeding incident.... they are SCUM with uniforms. They think they are elite. I am NOT a ned, I own a very successful buisness and drive a variety of superbikes and cars - these idiots treat everyone the same. Yes, some morons on bikes do exist, but all too often we're treated with contempt just becuase we drive on two wheels (some on one - MARTIN !!!). As I said in a previous post, Strathclyde Police PLC, a not for profit organisation, my ARSE, it's REVENUE and don't let anyone fool you otherwise. Anyway gripe over, I don't like traffic cops - and NOT becuase of the job, becuase of the stinking attitude. I got done for 86mph on the M6, fair enough I was doing 86mph - but as usual Mr Attitude and the "body bag" stories.... get a grip, and some new lines copper !!
But where do you stand on the Police issue??![]()
