hello everyone, its been a while since i have had time to chat but im back with a brand new quistion for you all to have a think about.
as you may or may not have read in one of my other posts i had problems with my regulator on my 888 strada , all sorted out now or so it seemed .
i have been out and bought a new battery (much to vic's delight that i have spent some money)and all of a sudden the battery light has started to flicker on and off when the bike is running which it never did before.i have checked that the battery is charging with a multimeter and it is putting charge in to the battery and when i put the head light on and rev the bike the head light gets brighter and as i understand it this is also a test that the charge system is working please could anyone shed some light on this problem as i know your all teck heads.thanks a lot mick 888 (i am now going for a nice cup of tea after writeing all this cheers).

it would help if you rode your bike mick....:D
letting it stand unused/unloved for 2 years is criminal
should have sold it to me mate....for what you paid for it,of course...
hopefully you'll get it sorted and we'll see you on the road next year :finger:

If you have confirmed that it's definitely charging then it is probably a fault with the regulator. If it's still under guarantee take back. If it's not, disconnect the feed to the bulb if it bothers you.

The same thing happened to my 888 not so long ago. The light would flicker and glow at very low revs, but would go out as the revs increased. It was the regulator to blame. I replaced it with an Electrex unit, and have had no more problems.

hi to everyone who has taken the time to replay to my post ,can you tell me more about the replacement regulator and how much it was and if possable where you got it from thanks a lot mick888.;)
