No big thing but just wondering.
My internet connection is through my phone line, but the main socket is in another room. For the past few months, I have been using a device that links my computer to my EE internet box, plugged into the the telephone line, using the mains, with one plugged into a mains socket, in my office, and another in my lounge, where the telephone socket is.
This setup seems to fail once a day with almost a 100% probability of about ten minutes outage - or at least it takes my computer that long to sort itself out. I cracked just now and have gone back to a WiFi dongle on my computer. This seems to be faster as well, although I haven't made any proper measurement.
Anyone else use these "through the main" devices with good results?
