As you say there are only a few "official" ones so won't be hard to spot, any datatags etc?

Good luck

HAD IT AT THE FRONT OF MY HOUSE TILL 1-20pm THEN WENT DOWN MY MATES BECAUSE MY MATE HAS A STANARD 749s DUCATI WE THINK THEY WERE AFTER HIS HE DID`NT FINISH WORK TILL 2pm THAT DAY NORMALLY 1-50pm AND TAKES HIM 10 MIN`S TO GET HOME AT 2-05pm THE VAN TURNED UP AND AT 2-10pm MY MATE TURN UP.
ALL I WANT IS THE BIKE BACK I DON`T WANT THE INSURANCE
THEY NEED THERE B_ _LS CHOPPING OFF

I really feel for you Joe I hope you get it back and the B*^$749^$ that nicked it get caught and locked up for more than a few months. Worst thing is it could be out the country by now  When I get my next decent bike worth nicking it'll have a tracker on it.

lets hope you get it back joe, i got one of mine back in perfect nick a few years ago, admittedly it was a pink and chrome vespa, but i think the theives sussed it was pretty unique and dumped it at the side of the road, hopefully theyll realise the same with yours mate

If they do that then they will get a nice reward from the cops, but hopefully they won't see it as a reward. You could email Crimewatch via the BBC as they have featured rare objects before, you have nothing to loose, worth a try

Nothing worse. scumbags.

I had my car nicked a few years ago. Took the keys out of my hand and drove away. Police reckon it was the gun that made it so simple. Navtrak found the car the next day and I got it back after DNA testing. Good news was the filthy little c@@@ got 10 years! 10 years for 32 miles!!! Now that is justice. Good thing is that he has to serve at least 7! So Christmas 2011 he might be able to taste 'free' range turkey!
Thing was that the Navtrak unit meant that it never felt stolen, just missing.

Harry @ DucatiGlasgow now supplys the latest Tracker motorcycle units. Not expensive either. I would suggest everyone gets one fitted. They add value and will eventually lead the feds to all sorts of stolen booty.

Bit late now but worth it for future thought.

that is a surprisingly uplifting story that fergie. i especially like the bits where it says 10 yrs for 32 miles and where he has to serve at least 7.
cheers me up no end:D :lol2:

My claim to fame was the same day Noel Gallagher from Oasis got his teeth kicked out in a German club.

The Daily Record ran both stories. He made page 9 and I made page 7!

It's the gun that makes the difference, Polis don't like guns and knives. If you see a toerag nicking your bike and you phone the cops they will say 'be round when we have got the time' but if you phone and say 'I thought he had a knife in his hand and the other one looked like he might have had a gun' they will be round in a flash. ;)

see justice again, something to thank the germans for as well

a few years ago when edinburgh had its first g8 summit or heads of europe summit, which ever it was, there was no trouble from loonies wanting to kill mcdonalds or anything, so edinburgh was full of heavily armed policemen, who were all extremley bored with nothing to do.
i worked in a casino at the top of leith walk and about 2ish on the sunday morning was watching a bloke in his mid thirties walking down the road when two teenage thugs came out of nowhere and started giving him a kicking. this was happening in front of the cctv cameras so instantly the operator must have put a shout out.
now every bored policeman in edinburgh, and there was a lot of them responded to this call.within seconds the two thugs noticed the blue lights and tried to make a run for it, but they were too late. the first sherpa van pulled up beside them and eight policeman jumped out with machine guns strapped to their chests, all followed by several more sherpa van with the same number of armed policeman jumping out as well as several cars and a couple of bikes.
the teenagers stood rooted to the spot one was crying and i think he might have soiled himself as well, to make matters funnier the police made them lie on the ground while they were searched and cuffed. and left the wee buggers there while all theyre mates had a laugh at them.
i must admit i was crying too but purely with laughter:lol2: :lol2: :lol2:

Back in 1995 I caught a guy breaking into my house in broad daylight. I was washing the car in the driveway at the time!
I confronted him with a hockey stick and he pulled what can only be described as a 'Crocodile Dundee' knife......as in "you call that a knife? that's not a knife........THIS is a knife"

Anyway, I beat him until he stopped moving, still with the knife in his hand!

Police arrived, cuffed him and dragged him to the van. End of. Never heard another peep about it.

In a sort of "Seven Up" sort of reminisence I always wondered what happened to him.............Come to think of it..........Berto? Berto?.....was that.............NO...........surely not?:D

Can't have been. My guy had dark hair!

Really sorry to hear that Joe, you feel violated when u have something stolen, not that i know what being violated feels like.

Hope u catch the Ba$tards !

Take a red hot poker to their arse.

Unfortunately its very rare that thieves get their cum uppance but when i was about 20 a few of us went for a night out in Darlington (yea OK not exactly Las Vagas).

Lads went in chippie, i went back to the car, came round the corner to where the car was parked and jonny me lad had screwdriver rammed in the door lock of the car. He didn't leg it, just tried to act cool. I walked by and asked him what time it was.

Silly person fell for that old trick and looked at his watch. He fell over and hurt himself quite badly, shame.

Went back and told the others in the chippie, they came back and he tripped over again several times.

Hope it put him off.

Nice when a story has a happy ending.

I sincerely hope you get the bike back and story has a similar ending but probably highly unlikely, sorry.

abit of news

hi ive just had a bit of news a guy came into chippy last night were i work said have i heard anything so i said no
he then started tell me about northwest customs had a ktm stolen out side the shop by 4 guys in a white transit van so i said were abouts are they golborne (7 mile from were ducati went from just off 580 eastlancs road) then i said when 5 weeks ago what are the co-insidances of that but the shop got the reg but its made up pitty.

Just logged on and seen that my favourite "DPO" (thats deal prevention officer) has had a wee rant.
Berto. We all understand that you appear to have an affinity with the thieving little chap(s) but to bring my skin into it is just plain childish. word of advice. Don't. Its not big and definately not clever.

Bit like you!:D
