recently there seems to be alot of dukes at squires i was just wondering if its any of you lot out there. i usually end up there on saturday teatime and once or twice through the week (i'm addicted to there coffee)
Let me know when you're next going Steve and I'll meet up. Can't really leave work until 1700 realistically but a bit of snap and good company is always welcome! I like the milk shakes myself! How about this Saturday, then BandP could come too? If it's mended? I avoid midweek, usually too busy there for my liking. We could go and visit Steve748 after.
i'll see, just flogged the beemer tonight, it goes on monday need to do a couple of jobs on it, doubt between times ill have had chance to fix the duke but just poss with Ians clutch and a new battery
yea no probs we could meet at pool bank on saturday and i will take you down the mad mile where you can have a couple of airborns will talk about it tomorrow night ps do us hard bikers drink milkshakes in front of others
airborne sounds good - course we can drink milkshakes, they're cool! Story here. Four years ago me and my lad (as pillion, 15 years old) were just returning from a whistle stop trip to the Alps. Four days, home to home. We left Switzerland at 0630 in the morning and I promised him a milkshake at Squires's on the way home. 700 miles or so, a channel crossing later and we turned up there at about 7 in the evening. God did they taste good - strawberry is best.
One guy at the table saw the bug spattered screen, the carnage on the jackets and the almost opaque visors. "Been far?" he asked. "Switzerland" we replied. "@@@@ing hell" he responded. "When?" he asked. "Today", Dan replied. "@@@@ing hell", he spluttered. "How long was the trip?" "Left Harrogate Saturday morning" I informed him (it was Tuesday). "@@@@ing hell" once again. Asked him where he'd come from - he mumbled "Leeds" and wandered inside presumably for a stiffer drink than milkshake. One of life's golden moments!
could start a new thread one of lives golden moments, mine was coming through guiseley with pauline on the back got to harry ramsdens roundabout pub beer garden was packed so got my knee down all the way round to cheers and claps from the pub and a fellow biker walking out of chip shop saw us and dropped his chips so pulled in and got a coke from the vending machine with dirty looks from the coach full of the blue rinse brigade
I get to Squires every now and again on a Wednesday night and usually base rideouts or meets on a weekend there as its pretty near the A1 and reasonably central in Yorskhire.
Wednesday night usually involves and Junior who is only 4. Too young to cable tie onto the back seat of me CBR 600 and the Ducati is the selfish version, a mono!
