Well it's time for an update.....
Good news in that my riding gear is insured so I can replace the Arai, leathers gloves etc....
Good news in that the engineer has seen the bike, agreed the costs of repair with M and S in Newcastle and authorised repair....
Bad news is that whilst the ribs and collar bone are mending the punctured/bleeding lung is refusing to repair so after more x rays today it looks like I will be re-admitted to hospital for further painful treatment!!
Never mind at least the bike and my gear will be sorted, it's just me to fix now!!
Ann is waiting on me hand and foot in Carlisle so I could not be in a better place!!:D

Great news about bike & gear.:)
Great news about Nurse Ann & her attending to you.
BUT, sorry to hear about your lung issues. Have they given a date for recovery, or is it a try something & wait & see if there is an improvement?
Time will hopefully FLY BY (oooops Don't mention that pheasant).:D & you will be back on your feet & the bike.

Bruce, hope you get the lung sorted soon. At least the bike will hopefully be shipshape by the time you are mended and the weather will be a bit more pleasant as well.

I thought about selling a kidney for the new Multistrada, but I reckon you need both lungs. ;)

bruce hope your new treatment is not to unpleasant and your back on your feet soon, looking forward to seeing you up and about soon.

Thanks for the good wishes guys!!! They will sort the lung next week and recovery will be speedy after that as the ribs/collar bone are well on the mend....Suspect the bike will be at least a month to fix anyway, so I should be ready first!!
Was at Hein Gericke in Carlisle yesterday looking at replacement kit and have decided to go for the new Arai Quantum "Italian Flag" helmet, very nice!!!:D

Keep yer pecker up! Remember the full box set of Band of Brothers is meant for times like this :)

A few weeks from now the pain will be a past memory.
