Is it still summer?
It's a sad day but also a great day, if you've not watched the final WSB races of the year you should!

But today was Troy's swansong in WSB and as we all should know he already wrapped the title up so today's racing for him would be his farewell.

Good-bye Troy, thanks for the memories... you're a legend!

Love the guy, amazing when u think hes won the championship on each generation of bike from 998 - 999 - 1098 :D

I am so Gutted he's retiring as he is my biking Hero ! Take it easy Superman !

agreed - the guy was imperious in many ways. see if we can up for the Mad March Mini Mega Meet - he won't be busy that's for sure! :D

It has been hinted that Troy will be part of the Ducati testing scene for the 2009 season

Also heard a rumour that he may be trying his hand at V8s next year. Dont know how much truth there is in that though

A great rider. Couldnt have picked a better way to finish his career :D
 
Looked effortless.
Made the rest of them look like they were on 600's.
Pity he never got to grips with the Camel Honda in Motogp.
 
He was on stage on Monday night and couldn't hold back his tears!

Said he just didn't want to stop!:(

I spoke to him afterwards and gave him a bottle of Bunnahabhain 12 year old whisky to say thanks!!:cool:
