Small Superlight accident - new fairing required

I managed to drop the Superlight today at 1mph just outside the house.:o

New gravel + steep camber + sharp turn = me on ground with bike on top. Unfortunately I'm not very big so the front fairing got badly scraped - couldn't spread myself far enough.:(

Anyone have a right hand (off-side) fairing for sale or know who could repair/respray?:o

Absolutely gutted as it was going to its first show. :o

Give it to Jacksons in Kelty - Stuart's a bit handy with a paintbrush!

Then again, Jamie?? :dunno:

oh no mary!!! im gutted for you!!! never mind... a new lick o' paint and it'll be good as new. Im afraid we dont have any spare fairings but here's hoping you get it sorted

Hi Mary,
Was that on the way to the Ayr show ? You never mentioned it. Sorry to hear about your wee off and hope all will be fixed soon.
Geoff

Oh Mary - sorry to hear about it :( At least it's just a scrape and will sort without too much trouble and you're ok

Thanks folks. The annoying thing is that Walter has a spare half for the 888 but it's the wrong side.:(

Having examined it in the calm light of day I think it can be repaired so I'm looking for suggestion as to where I could take it?:)

Lesson learnt - I cannot hold up a bike when it's going. I did try hard but have ended up with a sore back and ankle.:(

Sorry to hear that Mary, it's happened to us all! hope your back and ankle get better soon. x

Sorting stuff in garage yesterday and found I have front stand to fit superlight. You're welcome to it if needed..it needs to go.

the chap who MoT's my bike has a Super Light panel hanging from roof of his workshop, think its right side if memory serves me correct? Ill call in next time I pass, prolly tomorrow and find out.

Thanks Steve. :D

I'm so annoyed with myself, 14 years and not a scratch and now this on the way to my first show - bummer!:(

you could try bike paints for the repair as well Mary and like everyone says e-bay for a panel and decals. I'm still tryin to get a right side panel for the 900 after doin the same type of thing only a bit faster, lost oot on one by a quid last week - e-bay sniper

A chinook bust the fairing on Blind Pews 996 so he claimed off the RAF - & they coughed up for it.

ah well - I'm glad you asked

The chinook was close to his pigs - the pigs bolted & knocked the 996 over.

you too could concoct such a highly implausable story

Not so implausible! Lots of horses about - could have bolted due to low flying helicopter.:D

Only problem - no helicopters about that day.:(
