have heard that theres a new scottish motorcycle and car show on in lanark on the weekend of the 24th/25th. it is organised by robbie allan who used toorganise the scottish motorcycle show before mcn bought it over and ruined it. might be worth going to see, i'll see if i can get anymore info on it before then

Ducati Glasgow are going already, you might be as well just asking Martin for the lowdown Gordon ;)

There was an autojumble in Lanark weekend before last which was apparently well attended. Is there a connection between the two?

we are gonna try and make it up on Sunday I think, assuming we can move after dirt biking on saturday.

t'was indeed rally good fun.....

Seriously though, that wee track must be nothing in comparison to a full blown WRC stage and the angles we were going around corners at were, well let say impressive!

Big thanks to Davie for chattin up the very pleasant Mrs McRae snr.

my feet are still feckin freezing.....

Adios!

Novice Sunday drivers, coming over the Lang Wang Gordon and I were topping the ton in our vans, not only wet but pea soup as well

If I was in the market for a hot hatch, after Sunday's blast in the ST, it would certainly be on the list.

Thing I liked about the ST was the power delivery in any gear, especially 3rd and 4th. The handling was superb also, not too hard (like the Golf GTi) or soft. The noise was great - the 5 pot sounds fanastic!

As Davies say's, I honestly thought I was doing far less than that speed, the car inspires a lot of confidence.

Did it not have some sort of launch control system as well as you found out??

Aye, was thinking about that - must be linked up wit the ESP. Was weird though, in 1st gear and the clutch depressed, the rev's were restricted to about 3000rpm. In fact, come to think of it, EVO magazine recently did a hot hatch comparison which included the ST - will have a read tomorrow and see if it mentions it?!?!

What ever happened to driver control - too many gadgets I reckon!:comp2: :comp2: :comp2:
