RIP Birdie

Never met not interacted with this gentleman. The out pouring of sentiment this group has for its fallen members is another (although sad) reason I am on this site. None of you will ever realize what this group has meant and still means to me. I am going thru some rough stuff right now and I have a father who is 85 years old and healthy for now. My mother is 77 but has Dementia and Altheimers and is rapidly advancing. Because of her religion, she refuses to take the meds to slow the process. The stuff you all post is a bright spot in my otherwise dreary days. Salude to Birdie and to the rest of you allso

I never met him either, but he seemed a good egg, I wished I’d popped over the hill to see him.
Is anyone attending the funeral?
If someone knows the details, let us know and I’ll endeavour to attend on behalf of the community.
 
I also just saw this and it broke my heart. It is true what so many have said, the friendships and interactions in this community are more meaningful than realized, whether we meet in person or not.
I have been very busy for quite a while yet take a moment just about every day to check in and see what's happening. I should probably call my mom as often!
I always feel a little guilt for not posting more yet glad that I have a lot to do(including visiting my Mom) and I'm healthy enough to be able to keep at it. The older I get the more grateful I become.

I confess I have been searching for this thread as I was thinking about birdie the other day and couldn’t find anything on here in the search box but just now I have. So sorry for everyone who connected with Steve on here or in person, I had a misunderstanding with him a few years back totally my fault in the misunderstanding humour. So so sorry awful news, I lost a mate to it around 4 months ago just awful.

Thank you Noobie, time goes so quick doesn’t it, it’s funny as online stuff like this can get a bit addictive but it can also go the other way a bit like any addiction you just break away from it and get used to not having something. Life gets busy and unfortunately stressful which is ridiculous, my business has been dying for what seems an eternity and no idea why so that kind of affects you.

I had a sense Birdie had passed hence searching him out and bizarre I couldn’t find anything the other day I have not paid membership but I will do, I was also thinking about the guy who passed away who lived in France with the digger who did motocross he got me into listening to James the music people as he had a favourite song by them which I adore but can’t remember the name.

Believe it or not hyper desmo/dildo has a daughter here now raising eyebrows every bit as mad and straight as he was 😍 not long after the covid bollocks I stood back from here dirty my mindset was just to isolate and stay away from all media .. I am greatful for the couple of lads here who touched base regularly to check I was OK and glad to be back having a laugh and some banter 👍 great to see you back pal

I think if I had deleted Facebook I would not have appeared again but facebook does get me work so reluctant to close it but honestly wanted all social media gone 100% and go fuck off to live in a field with lots of porn and lubricants, anyway i do like it on here it’s different …plus I’m wandering along in a village in Slovenia minding my own business and a pissed up @WAYNE rings me wanting to know where I am etc which I actually really was grateful for

Hiya chiz my European adventures are stalled at present due to rule changes and brexit generally too difficult to do it now, never say never but it’s not looking good, hope ye well..I just been watching some documentaries on the missing Belgium woman over in New Zealand I see they found her remains, was thinking of you same country and all that
