Roadie racers are tightwads, aloof, self centred egotists who believe they have the right to rule the road, ride three abreast, always wear "out of date Tour de France style team jerseys" and hate all other road users.Commuter/greenies are the beardie wierdies who think they are saving the planet, use bright yellow jackets, fluorescent bandoliers, green trousers 20 years out of fashion and trouser clips, usually sporting knackered panniers and wearing polystyrene helmets that don't fit very well.
Us mountain bikers on the other hand, enjoy cutting up the traffic, chasing roadies, beardie wierdies, transit vans, scooters and badly driven trucks, laughing all the time and basically not giving a flying @@@@ about anyone except ourselves
We only use roads to get to more dirt anyway. The only good road cyclist is one who stays at home out of harms way

Horses - if we drove without insurance, MOT, license to verify competence, brakes, effective steering or adequate control, sihtting in public everywhere we went, how long would we last on the road before being banged up! They should be in fields, glue pots or on French menus! And when they are on the bridleway (which we can use legally) they just cut them up and make them impassible anyway. Sorry, rant over.![]()
Mmmmm trying to find which pigeon hole I fit in there Pete with my new found toy. I don't have a beard and am certainly not a veggie!!!
