REGULATOR Needed for RTL-(probably!!)

Went for a ride yesterday,and lost the generator warning light(i am running the OLD sytle regulator).The bike is still charging at regulated voltage and i have no loose connections,so it looks like the regulator is on it's way out.

So,does anyone going to the RTL tomorrow or Saturday have a spare they can bring along,"just in case" mine decides it's not going to play?

It may well be it won't be needed,but sods law dictates at the first fuel stop i'll hit the starter and the battery will be flat!!
 
Have you Tried Ducati Shipley, sorry Leeds to see if they have one in stock?
I wouldn't hold much hope as every time I have phoned them they don't stock it and 'will order it for you sir!'
 
No mate,only found out tonight,plus i would ideally replace it with an electrex one,so am loathed to buy a Ducati one on the "off chance" it fails this weekend.
 
how about this for an idea, you phone them in the morning to see if they have one and if they do collect it on the way. then when you have bought your electrix one you sell the other one on fleabay and you might get close to your money back for it!:comp2:
 
Shipley is 60m in the wrong direction for me mate.But nice idea.I think it will be fine.The battery is fully charged and should quite happily do the ride out on Saturday,even if the charging system fails.Thanks anyway.
 
Jasper, try Ducati Glasgow, Martin is coming down Saturday night he could bring it with him.
