Pet's Corner

I missed your post before. My fawn dane had the same issue. His was when he was on the beach and was running as they do, gallumping then let out a whelp. Sure enough later that day one of his toes swelled up. Nothing was obvious that he had trodden on so we put it down to a muscle strain and did regular hot towel, cool towel just like an athletes muscle strain treatment. Couple of days later he was back to gallumping, the daft twat.

Baby sitting donut today. Hes a lovely mutt but is fucken obsessed with chickens.
Had him tied up in the back xard for a bit as we had loads of work to do first up so couldnt keep an eye on him.
He was just in reach of the chicken fence and spent the first 30 mins just laying there watching them.
We then thought we"d let the chikens out so they could all play together.
He was fine as they walked past hi.but once they got out of sight he went nuts! So we let him off. He then spent the whole time rounding em up.
Had them pinned in the ally between the deck and the fence for ages. If they tried to get out one end he would race around the deck and head em off, when they turned and tried to get out the other end, he'd race around and stop em.
In the end i had to put him back on the lead as the chooks wernt having much fun.
Then b's sis turned up with laddie, a lil jack Russell. After a bit off a stand off they got on great and ran around non stop for over an hour. Donut forgot all about the chooks and by the time laddie left, he was spent.
He went back to laying quietly and watching the chooks.
