Just visiting
The next track day on the Ducati calendar seems to be Oulton Park on the 4th August... so who's IN for this one ???

Ooops

Decided to book rooms for myself, Gordon and Big K (sorted chaps), just went onto the Oulton web site and e.mailed the hotel closest to the track... without looking at the hotel... without checking it first... ooops. First track day I've been on where we need a TUX ;)

Awsome Track Stu, i went a few years ago But had a mechanical on the 3rd lap which sidelined me for the rest of the day. i got a few shots of other folks bikes which was good tho.

you need to get yourself another bike FFS - get the golf clubs TF man.... speaking of which you fancy a game at Gleneagles next week :D:D:D The odd wee game doesn't hurt :D

yea thats why i dont have a bike steve !

What about the week after stuart ?? weekend of the 25th ? im away for the weekend next week.

Better get watching some youtube vid's Stuart it's a "little" bit more technical than Donington.

I'm guessing this is a Ducati only day though

can't be anymore technical than Cadwell surely !!! What an awesome track that was.

People who do both say they're similar and they're right, I prefer Oulton as it's next door, but it's safer and has electricity and garages too

track day

Wanted to do this one but have never done one before, and am slightly worried that there will be so much to take in. I read somewhere that two lads had gone to a track day, got a garage and had a whale of a time, whats with the garage bit, dosnt say anything bout that, any answers and good advice welcome please.

Normally if you want a garage you just arrive early !

sometimes there's better fun off track than on... the banter in the pit garage can be just as entertaining, there was 30 odd of us from Scotland at Almeria... so lets just say it was never boring.

Warning

Don't take the desmo, turns out this is NOT a ducati only event but an open day for all makes... just a normal track day then.

In fact the quote was The two track days at Brands Hatch in Kent and Oulton Park in Cheshire will be an opportunity for both Ducati dealers and their customers to test their bikes to their full potential in a safe environment.

no big deal, just you run the risk of the target on your back with the desmo when the rice burners appear :D

i am sure this was branded as a ducati only event.... link is

ocht well, no different from Knockhill / Almeria / Oulton / Almeria I suppose.... but the banter is much better at the Ducati only days.

What group are you in then Stuart?

what do think Jon, fast, superfast, BSB+, WSB++, MotoGP Class, not sure....

inters I think :D, especially as it won't be the b1tch, back to good old 1098

As it's an MSV day open to all I might drag myself along on the IL4 will you speak to me though?

Latest reports say they are still finding empty Bottles of Buckfast

Don't think so MR C, think you're wrong....

we threw all the empties at the locals before we left

I was going to bring my Italian bike but the saga thus far is:-
Bayliss - clutch knackered, never was right, but got progressively worse, and worse, unrideable now.
1098R - race body work sent away four weeks ago, excuses thus far ain't good - looks like it won't be ready. Bike fine, just naked...
D16RR - let's not go there
Kawasaki ZX6R, 2007, 1000 miles, FLAWLESS, operates to perfection every time and will pick up the pieces if needed.
There is of course the Hyper... now that could be fun

Hmm might have to pop down for the day could even bring an Italian bike cos no one else is!

not through want of trying... in fact had it been DUCATI ONLY I might be in trouble.

Oi!

My ears are burning, off to Oulton tomorrow to stretch the R1's legs... well get my first trackday out of the way after the off.
