Well ive bitten the bullet and have booked in to hottrax for this. I know jpm and lily? are going, any one else?

List of things needed

Oxygen-isnt it a bit thin up there?
Tissues(aih!)- for nose bleeds.
 
More oxygen up here than down there...

Oh bring a sense of humour as yours was bypassed years ago :p

we both need to get out on bikes a bit more!!

I have managed to get my leg over (ooo err missus) 3 times this year (and in last 8 months to be honest) and have crashed once and had it p1$$ down the other two!!
 
Sheesh you can tell Oulton's in Cheshire? can only use hot coals to warm tyres at Croft and you have to dodge loose whippets in the paddock!;)

Dr Jonathan has certainly spent some money on Oulton and the drift school is always good for a laff if its running.

Don't want to make Oulton sound too good or all those suverners will be up wearing the tarmac out.:p

I popped over to Oulton at lunchtime and Ian was grinning liek a cheshire cat!!

Seemed to be having a great time and the weather was brilliant!!

Freak has gone over this afternoon and both AlanE and MartinH were there giving him some support as well :)
 
I recon this will be at least a 2hr journey for me in a van with the bikes.......anyone else done this and what would you recommend, overnight stay?
I suddenly realised how lucky i am on the doorstep to Silverstone, Donington, Rockingham.............

we normally do silverstone in the morning from home which is further north than Oulton

You are welcome to come up night before and stay here but it would have to be sofa and squeezing between boxes

Let me know if you are planning on stopping. We are about 35-40 mins from Oulton at the moment but if you want to I can clear some floor/sofa space.

I think we will drive up on the day as it should be less tiring with two of us.

JPM, what exhaust will you be running on your 999r? Will my 57mm open be too loud? I know its been done to death, but how tight are they with noise?

The 57mm is still 102db from memory though isn't it? The limit is 105db and each bike gets a noise test before their first session, my advice is to rev to about 3k even though they'll say 5k (they'll be at the back of the bike with the meter and you'll be blocking their view of your clocks ;) )
 
I've yet to see a "quite" day at Oulton always been 105db since I've been doing trackdays
