"open" timing belt cover options

I'm looking for an open timing belt cover for the Smart, DS 1000 engine so monster/multistrada fitment but all i can find is the Speedymoto very small pulley cover ( scary) or the Rizoma open one which comes in silver or black but ideally i want polished.

Does anyone know of any options on open belt covers please?
 
I did see someone do their own OE belt covers, carefully cut with a dremel and polycarbonate windows put in place.
It might have been on the old DML site though which is now nigh on useless as you cant seem to search for anything very successfully.
Theres was another chap in the US who was trying to make completely clear ones too,like the ones I have on the monster but I'm not sure its was for the DS engine.
If I find it I'll let you know.
I ended up going with the Rizoma covers.
 
Michael, I did my own before I got the Rizoma ones. And in some ways I prefer them....

i've seen some of the home made ones but wanted metal :( the clear perspex (maybe tinted AIR) monster ones were made a few years ago saw them on ukmoc at the time but wasn't sure and even if i had they wouldn't fit the ds engine. I've seen reference to an ebay seller offering machined OEM covers as you say Dave but can't find them.

NCR website doesn't work for me Ian, page gets all messed up in firefox and safari but I'm pretty sure they don't have any as the new blue was totally open. there has to be another option somewhere else either that or i've just found a niche for a product :)

I like the finned exhaust flanges Ed, must see if i can something ike that for the termi's :thumbs:

Try Ducati.MS must be something over there in the states, what about that exhaust company, they do parts aswell I think, is it ARC Fabrication ?
 
What might also be possible is the fill in the gaps on the speedymoto endcaps with clear polycarbonate,dont know about clearances though.
I have seen a japanese company do solid polished metal ones,one of the Australian guys on .ms got one a while back.

Unfortunately Michael, they don't fit the Silmoto down pipes, I need to machine some new 'sleeves' for the pipes to slip into, I've already drilled the finned flanges ready, just haven't got round to fitting them. For me they compliment the finned rocker covers - both nicked off a Bevel. :)
