Ok so Winters here ! What have you got planned for your bike ?!?!?! :)

errr EXCUSE ME!!!!

I was drugged.... by Martin's (FAR) better half...

ok so technically not actually drugged, but it was tequila and she did insist :D

...as an addendum to my earlier post on this thread -

been busy today, the plan was just to change the oil so I had the pleasure of hearing it run up for the last time this year. Changed the oil etc. but got carried away and now I've got a pile of bits!!! :p
Got some new 'O' rings winging their little way up to me as I write this.

I particularly like my Imola's new main stand (well no guests are gonna be wanting to sit outside on the garden furniture are they!!)

well a few bits and pieces,
think i fixed electrical gremlins last week
gona split me calipers tomorrow afternoon
also plan to glue clutch side engine case back on think thats where me oil leak is
and im going to braze me other leaking petrol tank

oh and a profeshonal is going to check me shims on wendnessday

Hmm winter, well i hope that all the bikes will be used at least once a month to keep things free and moving. however only plans i have for the 916 is a good clean and degrease again, new rear wheel bearings, new pads allround. new belts and oil and filter.

For the RC30, not alot really, its due an oil and filter and i have just put a new rear tyre on and have a wheel swop to do for the front. and as its clean maybe a quick polish and thats about it.

The 600RR bugger all apart from ride and clean and finish off the tyres before next april ready for new ones for 2 weeks in spain.

Also bought another NC30, this ones a late UK bike with 20k on it. Needs some minor paint and it looked quite grotty, however it turned out to be a little gem. carbs needed a good clean and have now been replaced with smaller RVF items (sounds wrong but it makes a huge difference in rideability), good service done and changed a few shims at the top end so now sounds sweet as a honda V4 should, chain and sprockets, new BT090's, and a good strip and degrease has confirmed that a 14 year old bike left in filth and grime and oil cleans up really well and nothing rots. with little sign of corrosion or wear it really has come up far better than i expected. seems a shame to turn it into a winter hack, will fetch good money in spring being a genuine UK model too.

Sorry ian, thats only half of them. the rest are simple stuff like the YSR80 or KSR80 gag, or restored non moving housebound bikes. ;)

I am going to run my bike right thru the winter, every chance of getting out I will!! Was out yesterday and it was a fantastic day, roads were quiet, no Police hiding round corners. Less pr*cks out and about than the summer. Okay so it was a wee bit windy and you have to take a bit of care with leaves etc but there is nothing that says in my manual that a Multi needs to be put to bed in October until the spring

KEEP RIDING;) ;)
