Bastid combi boiler just given up !

Worcester 'may' be able to get to me in 2-3 days !

Anyway, they have taken my card details already, rang a couple of local lads and they all said ring them direct ( Worcester ) so I guess I will just have to smell.

Its getting really cold in here already, dog will be getting icicles soon !

In fact the amount of elbow grease you'll need to keep them clean could heat your house no problem!
 
Getting really chilly now, long johns are on, sleeping bag round me, gonna have to give up and get into bed soon, dressed and in my sleeping bag, under the duvet !

And the good news is it's set to be minus 5 tonight :eek:

You think it's cold now - wait until the heating's been off a day or two then it'll be really cold. Ours went off in January - the first day it's cold but you cope by days two & three it's brass monkeys :(
 
We have this at Claire's when we were flitting between houses, she'd leave the heating off, when we got there it would be on solid for at least 24 hours just trying to get some heat in the place.

Wait until you get ice on the inside of your windows then you know it's cold and it's time to do something about it

Don't worry Ian, If it's a terraced (or cottage as you say), then the houses on either side will be losing heat to your house, and with a bit of luck they'll be turning their heating up to compensate for losing more to you.

It's an old apache trick but it still works.
 
Well fair play to Worcester, its mended, they rang today and luckily the lodger was in, all sorted, had to get lodger to move the porn out of the airing cupboard though :eek:

Don't know what the financial damage is yet though, they took my card details when I first booked them :(

Oh well i'm warm again and can have a nice hot shower instead of a lukewarm wipedown !

I now have a rather strange image in my head of men squashed up in airing cupboards :jerkoff:
