Oh no, not again - bird strike !

Hope it isn't the start of things to come as it was a couple of years ago, great day out on da Multi, really good fun, good coffee as always at Mikeys - but I was struck by the early season Sparrow type bird on the way home.

Not massive speed involved as I am an angel on the road :) but it shocked me a bit, right shoulder, full impact - only evidence was some downy feathers in the back of my lid.

RIP little birdy :(
 
You wanna go down to philip Island, I remember watching Troy Corser while on the works Ducs being hit by a stray seagull, went straight through his windshield and splattered it'self all over his instruments etc. What a selfish bird I'd say!!!! :eek: :p

You're lucky. I collected a pheasant the other week - took a fair amount of it home with me unawares, roasting nicely on the radiator, + a big grotty smearing of pheasant guts along the side of the fairing, which was cracked by the impact. The joys of country living..!
 
This reminds me that the rabbit season is now upon us. Did I say before about hitting a rabbit once when I had a Guzzi. I got home and wondered what the funny smell from the bike was. That's when I found its head wedged between the frame and the exhaust pipe :eek:
 
Hitting sheep

Hit a sheep with pillion on board shouting - watch out for the sheep! It was just passed the small bridge before you reach the old village road in Glencoe. The sheep spun around several times then stood still for several seconds then keeled over. I managed to stay upright and started to walk back to see if it's dead. Just as I reach it, the thing jumps up - nearly gives me a heart attack. Thought it was cats and 9 lives?

Here's my tup(pence) worth, ewe know it's shear baaa'd form to hog the forum with these type of wooly postings, gimma some inteligent.feedback or members will become sheepish about dipping in to the site.
