Anyone planning to go to the NW200? ferries are booking up quick as I found out having to travel the 210 miles to scotland to get a crossing to suit! great roads and great craic its gotta be worth a trip?

I am going over but we normally fly out Sat and back Sun from Glasgow and drive to Coleraine. Used to bike it each year but after a few successive wet trips we changed to flying. It's cheaper but if you're biking and the weather's good it's one of the best weekends you'll have. Not sure if you've been before but make sure you ride the coast road up from Belfast via Cushendun, Bushmills, etc. As you have realised, you need to get booked up with ferries and accommodation quickly. The Coleraine tourist office will find you somewhere if you're stuck (do a web search).

Hope you enjoy it. I can suggest some good viewpoints if you want.

many thanks for the info i'll follow your advice for sure, i've never been before i must admit i'm not a big fan of road racing more of a going round in circles circuit guy myself, hey i'm only going to be educated! lol. and you know what they say about ireland "if it isn't raining its going to!" my mates on an sp1, hey at least its a twin!. only going for a tee shirt and to watch Rutter on the 1098.

And the BIG question will be whether he can get over 200mph again through the speedtrap on the road to Coleraine...?!

Just in case anyone's interested in doing the trip the same way I've got my NW200 trip booked up. Fly out Saturday from Edinburgh to Belfast (£44 return by Flybe), one night's accommodation in Belfast (£30 my share) and car hire to drive to/from the circuit (£6 my share). A great day's racing for £80 before beer and food. We could probably squeeze one more into the car if anyone else is flying over and needs a lift from Belfast to the racing.
