Northern Run 29-31 May

It's looking more likely that I'll be coming, but I'll be working Friday until 4.30 and would expect to be leaving home around 6.30. I'm quite happy to make my own way up though.
 
Hope that bunkhouse has plenty room.

I'm aff on Friday also, so quite happy to start early and enjoy the run up.

Im guessing most of you's guys are going up via the A9? because ill be happy to meet any groups heading off early'ish in aviemore or Fort Augustus or inverness. Ill be setting off from skye kina early as well.
 
Initial thoughts were there would be a fairly late arrival and eating on the way up.
Looks as if some or most may arrive needing food then.
If we can get a rough idea of numbers and approx times of arrival I will see about organising food if this is the case.
Could folk let DB know as soon as they know and he will collate and advise I''m sure.:)
DON'T let him bring you the scenic way...you will still be riding at midnight!;) :lol2:

BD knows I can be at Perth services at any time so I will go with the flow. He just needs to tell what time to be at Boxden services at Perth.
Looks like we will pick up people at Fort Agustus on the way up.
 
oh well fort Agustus is fine for me to get to ^.^ hehe np again anytime if fine by me since im off.

Sounds like there are a few options floating around regarding RV times and locations.

Been chatting with Cisco about head out of Glasgow and confirm we'll be meeting at DG at 2pm to head up via Glencoe and Great Glen to Inverness.

Anyone else want to hook-up en route?

well i wouldent mind going from armadale to mallaig the going to fort william to meet ya's i love that road. plus there's loads of ferrys so a time isent a prob its about two to two and a half hours from glasgow to fort william for you's guys?

Cisco/SS-Al - leaving Glasgow 2pm and going via Glencoe and Great Glen (arriving bunkhouse 6pm ?)

Wulfie - do you want to meet up with Cisco/SS at Ft Will/Augustus on their way up, or meet at the bunkhouse ?.

Me/Phil - meeting Edinburgh 5.00pm (arrive bunkhouse 9pm ?)

Derek - meeting me/Phil at Dunkeld 7pm.

Chiz (Dundee)/Curriedug (Currie)- do you guys want to meet up with me/Phil/Derek or set off earlier in the day ?

Scottch - TBA

I know... it's a sign of the times, unfortunately, but a bit of bureacracy won't stop us having a belter of a weekend.

I'm happy to meet you at Dunkeld. Saves me taking the boring road to Perth. Can take the Windy backroad to Dunkeld.

I would like to have a blast up in the afternoon and would also be happy to meet up with you guys on-route. Rather than ride to Glasgow from Currie, I could meet Cisco & Al at:

I really wanted to go to this run and could have met Cisco and Al at Tarbet on way up to the Welly. It,s the misses birthday on friday then she,s off to Essex for a weeks training on sunday, that just leaves the saturday - never gona happen is it !!!. Free after sunday tho !!!:lol2::lol2:

Cisco/SS-Al/Curriedug/Wulfie going up in the afternoon and reaching the SDC members lounge at the bunkhouse early evening (if you guys want somewhere to eat on arrival can you please liase with 239desmo so he knows to find/book somewhere ?)...

Me/Chiz/Phil/Derek/Scottch (TBA) coming up in the evening, arriving there about 9 -ish (do we want to eat en route or on arrival at the bunkhouse or before setting off ?).

Yeah no prob at all 4 - 4:30pm works fine with me I can catch the ferry at armadale at 2.25pm and get to mallaig for 3pm and i know its about and hour or less from there to fort william *depending of how mutch fun im having on that road:rolleyes:* hehe

Just to make its a little more easy to meet ya's theres a petrol station right at the junction to the turn off to mallaig in fort william on the left and its on the A82 so ya's cant really miss it but ill get yar number's just in case things do go t*ts up :D

I'm working until 4.30 so I was planning to be stuffing my face before I leave, but the rest of you could eat prior to meeting up at Dunkeld.

All, Had a change of though. Cannot wait till Friday night as it looks great weather that day.
Will NOW meet up with the Glasgow contingent at the Green Welly as well at 3-3.30pm.
Will PM you guys my mobi number.
Intend to leave Dundee around 1.30pm & sonter up through Crieff to Tyndrum.
ALSO SAW ON THE FACEBOOK SITE THAT IS GOING TO BE WARM. THE MIDGES ARE WAITING FOR US. SO PACK THE REPELLENT

Should be able to get off work early so will try to get down to meet you guys at the above station 4.00 to 4.30 for the ride up.

Freak weather warning!!

Got up this morning and there is not a cloud in the sky and local radio is forecasting temperatures struggling to stay under 25C.

They think tomorrow could be worse. ;) :)
