New Tyres

Had a new set of tyres fitted to my wire wheels today. The original plan was to have a set of Pirelli Supercorsas fitted, but I was offered a set of Metzeler Rennsports (the German version!!! ) for a price I couldn't refuse instead.
I rode a 916SP with these fitted a while ago and I thought they were great. Will be interested to see how they fare on the Imola around Knockhill. The rear is 180 which is larger than I would have liked, but I guess I will just have to tug on the clip-ons a bit harder to get it over now.
What it also means is that I don't have to use those 'orrible black wheels in it anymore!

Been practicing on them around the lounge but will have to wait a few months before the tarmac sees them for the first time!!

Anybody else used these with or without success?

...that's what I've just taken off. Great very great. I overheated them on the track though, but for road use & on the Imola they were great!!

if i can keep gettin them at 130 per pair ill keep buyin them, ive gone down to a 180 and the difference is brilliant.

hey, that's a good price! The first thing I always told punters when they bought 916s (in it's various guises) off us was to fit 180s. The difference you notice is like when I fit the track wheels with a 4.5" rear fitted with a 160 to the Imola. Turns like a 250! Hope I'm not gonna be disapointed with the 180 on it. (at the price I paid - I will like it !!!)

Renns are fantastic, I used Part Worn soft front medium rear loved 'em road and track and lasted very well on the road for some reason ? Moved onto Racetecs when my mates race series started to use them, he said they were good so I tried and loved 'em !
