I've been reading about the new Hypermotard (and Hyperstrada) and notice that it has a cable operated clutch. It uses the same bottom end and as the 11º Testrastretta engine of the MTS and Diavel but with 88mm bore and 67.5mm stroke giving 821cc is 'longstroke' engine relative to the rest of the range. The has same wet clutch but with cable operation. I guess that with the lighter clutch operation with the current self-servo clutch there is no need to fit an expensive hydraulic system. I'm in two minds whether this is a good thing or not.
The bike also has a whopping 870mm seat height
The Hyperstrada though has a reduced rear suspension travel allowing a seat height of (only) 850mm.
