New Bike!! 1996 Ducati 748

Hi Folks, following on from the 916 thread, I've just become the proud owner of this 1996 N reg 748 this weekend. Lots of service history with some scarey bills (£1200), currently sitting on 30,700 miles.

First teething trouble is the neutral light is playing up. I think the belts also need changing as its two and a half years since they were last done (28,500 miles @ moto rapido)

Hopefully see some of you about and about in yorkshire.

Hi all thanks for all the comments, third ducati ive owned had a couple of 1098s beforehand. They had brown pipes too!

In answer to one of the questions about servicing, i can do basic stuff at a push, oil change, brake pads, fluids, etc. I will probably be booking it in with that nice ducati john chap in leeds for a belt change and the neutral light problem.

We had a decent run last Sunday. I might get out for a quick blast this weekend but I tend not to go far on public holidays for the usual obvious reasons.

Not a big squires fan myself, go there very rarely, rank food and drink and too many feds on all routes in and out, that said the whole experience on a wednesday is a bit like watching shite reality tv, sometimes you just cant help yourself so i do end up going once or twice a year. prefer devils bridge, hawes or even settle for my jaunt out to biker spots.
