Collected my new 848 from DG today. It's amazing. Will try to put up some pics.:D:D:D

Did 125 miles today and am heading Dumfies and Galloway tomorrow to get the miles done as it's booked for it's first service on Thursday.

Big thanks to everyone who came along and a big thanks to all at DG for managing to get my long list of extras sorted out.:thumbs:

Congratulations. :thumbs:
Bike looks fantastic. Mind you're not too bad yourself! ;):lol2:
Hope you get some use from it before end of the season.
That kitchen of yours must be getting a bit crowded though. :D

Great news MARY:thumbs::thumbs:
I take it you got the ride height sorted out or else 7" heels?

I'm allowed to tell people now :lol2: :flash: MARY'S GOT A NEW 848 :flash: :D
Congratulations I hope you're enjoying it :)

happy new bike mary... get it ready now for the sdc trackday next year.

oh... watch out for deer

don't know what it is with the 848... but it suits white better than the 1198... which sounds daft...

:flash:Glad you are enjoyed the ride back Mary:flash:. A few tasteful mods make a HUGE difference imo!

:flash::flash::flash:

Happy new bike Mary - it is a stunner:cool:

And what a fab day to be running it in too!

Enjoy :flash:

As Deer Dash says. See you at the DG tracknight next year & you can get that 848 moving.
Will give you so much confidence on the road after being on Knockhill for the night.
BUT, no passing me ;);)

Thanks for all the good wishes. :D :D :D

Picked it up yesterday and have managed 330 miles so far, only 300 more to go as it's booked in for its service on Thursday:thumbs:

Love the colour but it's filthy already, going to be hard to keep it clean.

Chiz - got the height sorted so sticking to 3" heels.

Stewart - thinking about taking out some kitchen units! Thanks for the compliment.

Derek - you can tell everyone now.;)

It feels lovely to ride. Very responsive and agile but still treating it gently.

Not sure about track nights though - you have to remember that I'm VERY OLD (great excuse for lots of things);):D

Hope you've kept the DB Killers in the Termis.;)
As an upstanding citizen if I hear they have been removed I must inform the local traffic police since we are the best of buddies now.:D:D

Wait till you jump back on the Superlite.
Totally different.
Love my SL but after the 848 when I jump back on the SL it takes a right few bends to get comfy & feel safe on.

Ooops!!!

....but they are in the box.;)

Got followed throught the village by the local police yesterday right up to the farm road end. Saw them again today but this time they smiled and waved. Phew!

The one thing I did notice today is the effect the wind has on the 848 compared to the SL. The SL gets pushed to the side but the wind seems to catch the 848 underneath which is not pleasant when a gust catches you on a corner.

Very windy coming up the coast road from Stranraer today! Dodging the waves crashing over the rocks. Invigorating!:eek:

Nice bike !. The pic of you leaving the shop makes it look like you've got a topbox (lipstick lockbox ?) :D;)

I'll never be able to keep up with you on the club runs now...:p

Mary its absolutely stunning. so will you be taking it on the breast way round next year? just think of all the buckets of water you ll be needing to keep it clean :lol2:

very jealous you lucky lucky lady

happy new bike :hug::hug::whoohoo:
