It’s interesting they have an A2 licence version, I wonder if that’s a restriction a dealer can remove upon production of a full A licence? Would make for an interesting concept to get new motorcyclists onto Ducatis if that were the case.

I thought they were going to ditch the grenade launcher exhausts?

Shame, otherwise very nice.. X

I always thought it should have the V2 Panigale engine in it...

I was hoping they'd offer a version with 150bhp or more. They're a lovely bike, sweet handling, and better IMO that a Multistrada for touring (I've had 2 Multi 1200's and the downside was buffeting...I tried 4 different screens and two helmets but couldn't erradicate it). The Supersport has the most comfortable seat of any bike in the world I'd wager. Just needs more oomph for me.
And, I like the standard cans.

Of all the brilliant styling features of the Multistrada they could have copied the Silencer wasn't one I would consider!

its funny isnt it. the bike is sold on a small but big enough engine, comfortable ergonomics, sporty handling with the premise on filling a gap in the market, and appealing to the middle aged ex sports bike types among others. Then the following year or two, the engine gets bigger nearing the mains sports model in the range, when half the appeal was a small enough engine to have fun, without the weight or expense of the bigger engined models. Along with the bigger engine and spec comes higher price tag! again nearing the top sports model. Anyway, Ducati arent the only offender, KTM have done the same with the 790 and no doubt Aprilia will do the same with RS660.......

The Supersport 950 has exactly the same 936cc engine as the Supersport 939. Many folk think it should have the V2 engine but then it would just be a more ergonomic V2 and the sporty characteristics of the V2 would spoil the easy going nature of the Supersport which has a much wider power band and consequently makes it better suited for the road than the track.
