It's being aggressively offered to you, for free.I like gadgets, especially ones that are going to improve the way I live and end up collecting dust in a drawer.
Just can’t see any advantage to having a smart meter, not for me anyway.
Should I be so against it, does it really matter.

You don't get owt for nowt. I have ignored all 'offers' to change my meters for smart meters.
So his Mams on the basic state pension and gets none of his 4.5m a year

Yet burning gas is now good, is it? When did I blink, so miss reality changing?
Mind you, as we have had weeks of disruption around here to lay new gas pipes for the dash for gas is insatiable around here, I have no surprise.

Doing nuffink much today, but should do garden clearing as it is garden waste bin week, next week - or, this week if you count Sunday as the first day of the week.
Internet connection problems all morning and I was just checking that it was not my end. The same router goes to a network disk drive, and so I had a browse. Found these pics. They were took by one of the French on the trip. Three of us went from the UK - an Irishman, a Scot, and an Englishman, so apart from there being a joke in there somewhere, it was good fun! That was when I had my Suzi GSXr-750 that I bought new from a local guy doing dodgy Dutch Imports. I never changed anything, so it was a KMH speedo and right hand drive dipping headlights, and so at home in France! One of my best ever bikes, that I must of px-ed for a Ducati Monster! So, my last Jap bike!

I think that the Suzi was part-exed for a Kawasaki ZXR 400. And then I went to either another Kwack 400, but could of been a 650. I think that it was a 650 and that was part-exed for the first in a series of Monsters! I deffo had a Kawasaki 650 and that must of been part-exchanged for the first Ducati Monster! The Kwackers were good bikes that never gave me a moment of trouble and started me off on track days. I got a free one with the ZXR-400 at Castle Combe. Although Combe is a fast track and I was smoked on the straights, I could beat most on braking and cornering. So, I was a pain in the ass to the bigger bikes! And being a pain, suited me!

Out of interest, just looked at Kwacker prices. They are crazy! No way over a KTM, and if we are getting into Ducati prices, I'll have a Ducati!

And then looked at Suzuki prices. They are mad, as well! I thought I would be going a bit over the top with a Monster, but I think that looking at the quality of components, it is head and shoulders over the Jap crap!!!
And the KTM beats them all on value for money!
Maybe, you all knew, and thought me a bit dumb, because I am not well up on Jap prices, but my two options - KTM Duke 790, or Ducati Monster, are really good value for money!

Nothing, and I mean nothing, is ruled in or out.
The only thing that is more certain, is that it is Fowlers v Riders. Riders do the Ducati, and Fowlers do every make, except Ducati and Guzzi - and I definitely don't want a Guzzi. It could be Ducati, KTM, Enfield, BSA, some Kwacker, or some Suzuki. Probably new, but I see something used that turns me on, then used would be OK. I am only interested in road bikes, so nothing off-roady - or pretending to be off road, with a stopid raised front mudguard. Mind you, for today's roads, an off roader might be better!

To change the subject: I just booked my hotel in London to meet the High Court judge next week. My solicitor and barrister will be there to stop my rudeness. Before this judge stuck in his oar, I verbally agreed to let the money be looked after for me, by one of my solicitor's tame investors. She is used to settlements much higher than mine, over one million, where the recipient is so brain damaged enough, to not be able to look after their own affairs. And they are not stupid enough to ride motorbikes! Now I am re-thinking this. I want to see the money and not have to explain anything to anyone. I am not planning to blow it all on something stupid, or even anything except a motorbike. And even that motorbike won't be anything grand. The most expensive would be a Ducati Monster, of some sort, but could just be a standard one. Should I let someone else look after the money?
