The SV is a great bike, on all accounts the superlight is a fantastic bike!!

I agree, the motor is wonderful and it handles ok but I just could not get it to stop bottoming out with weight transfer on the forks. I tried heavier springs then progressive springs then heavier oil then raising the level and all I got was an occasionally extremly harsh fork that would still bottom out or spend about $1000 to put an entire GSXR front end on her and then I would lose my speedometer. I was also worried that the extra weight and different ride height caused by the forkswap would ruin the handleling and I would have more to sort out. There are many guys at the track that have them sorted and they are great, fast bikes but this was also my excuse to finally get my original dream bike so issue sorted!

My now ex father inlaw has a SV1000, it's had everything chucked at it!! He does hillclimbs on it, he's 70 odd years old and retired and still does trial bike riding on the weekends in Wales.
