As for being expensive, the new GSA is similar in price. Bike prices are horrific nowadays.
For £20K you could buy a lovely 1299 and an older Multi/GSA.

What concerns me on this is the radar/anti collision mention. I hope this remains as an option to turn on/turn off. The worry is will it stop the ability to filter as so many of us do?

My car has anti collision bollocks, pain in the arse if you're behind someone turning left and you know there's space to not slow down
