Mat black bikes are just ugly. In my day the only ones you saw were rat bikes painted with rattle cans by dope-head grebos. The look has not improved since IMO.

Porsche started producing 'budget' versions...slightly stripped out - bucket seats; not A/C, no stereo etc.

They soon realised that they could actually charge more money for doing that, hence the birth of GT3 etc.

Porsche’s approach was slightly different. They were trying to bridge the gap between Road and Track cars. The approach was to remove weight and unnecessary accessories. They accidentally found that there was a real market for performance, track based cars.

The Ducati Dark is just a version built cheaply.
